Beginning of Our Journey

Advent Adult Family Home was born from both professional experience and a personal calling. After many years in healthcare, I often found myself feeling disheartened by the lack of warmth and consistency in larger care facilities. Too often, I saw residents treated like tasks on a checklist, rather than individuals with full lives, stories, and unique needs.

The turning point came when someone very close to me, someone with an incredible gift for nurturing others helped me reimagine what care could look like. Her quiet strength and genuine compassion reminded me that caregiving is not just about meeting physical needs, it’s about creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and truly at home.

That vision became the foundation of Advent. Here, we aim to provide not just high-quality care, but a real sense of family. Every resident is treated with the dignity, respect, and personal attention they deserve. We take the time to learn their stories, honor their routines, and support their independence all within a warm, welcoming home environment.

Qualifications & Licenses

Advent Adult Family home is qualified and skilled in the provision of licenced senior care services.

  • Managed and operated under the supervision of a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Licensed and regularly inspected by Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) – Residential Care Services.
  • Approved to provide specialized care for residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) delegations in place for medication management, health assessments, and personalized care plans.
  • All caregivers are background checked and certified as Home Care Aides (HCA), Nursing Assistants (NA), or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), with ongoing training in senior care best practices.
